Leading academics from around the UK will be coming together at the fourth annual APM Education Network Forum on Thursday 8th December at Cranfield University. This unique event, sponsored by BAE Systems, is specifically designed for researchers and lecturers working in project and programme management. It will look to facilitate discussion and debate around the challenges of APM’s vision that all projects succeed.
This year’s theme of ‘driving innovation in practice through academic research’ will be explored by a raft of senior speakers from the world of academia and business including Professor Darren Dalcher (pictured), director and founder of National Centre for Project Management; Dr Harvey Maylor, director of the International Centre for Programme Management at Cranfield School of Management and Mike Brown, head of Programme Management Centre at Rolls Royce Plc.
The forum will consider how APM, the corporate, and the academic communities can collaborate towards APM’s strategic vision for 2020 through research and education. It is also a great opportunity for academics to discuss with APM directly where academia sits within the vision. Andrew Bragg, APM chief executive, will be speaking at the event on the strategy’s implementation, focussing on research and professional standards.
